2. Christmas and NewsYear will be in Sto. Dgo. with Dulce's family. - we've work to do there too.

3. Hope to get Christmas letters out early....!!

JF Parker's Birthday - October 10th

I've a note from JF's sister (Velvabel) in Mo. that JF is now back at his Phoenix address:

J. F. Parker
33226 North Roadrunner Road
Queen Creek, Az. 85242.

His Birthday is October 10th. Following his surgery on his spine in California's VA Hospital, she'd like to get as many Birthday Cards sent to him as possible. How about it? Let's spread the word and send him a BD card and to wish him a speedy recovery.

Thanks, Bill Parker

JF Parker update

Hi Everyone. I talked to JF Parker today. He is in S. California in the VA hospital recovering from Spinal surgery. He said he was being sent back to Phoenix on October 3rd to recover more and see how he heals. They are thinking now that he will need more surgery in 2 months time.

I told him of the Parker's Everywhere blog and that I'd update it with what I know. Kittie, if you know more, please post it. - Bill

Fantasy baseball: Explained

I go online to http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/ and just sign up, I have the option of choosing my own team, based on current major league players, or they will choose my team for me at random. Essentially we get to mix and match all of the major league teams into our own "fantasy" team and play in a league. Games are scored based on how each of our individual players did in a real gam on their respective teams, we can trade, add, and drop players until a certain cutt off date. How you build up your team in this way is the strategy, everything else is left up to chance. You're also allowed to have a couple players on the bench in case someone gets injured during the season. I usually let Yahoo! pick my team at random and then I make changes from there.

I just play for fun, and to keep up with stats, but there are people who will pay to play in certain leagues, and get really competitive about it.
